Today I practiced for an hour. I have now pretty much learned how to play "O Sole Mio!" (page 124), "Jericho" (127), and "The Stranger" (129). I do have to practice playing legato though, particularly when I have to play the same note multiple times in a row.

That's great that you've identified legato style as something you'd like to work on. Try practicing slowly, one hand at a time, and focus on keeping the previous note depressed before playing the following note. I can show you tomorrow.
